A Quick Kirk
by Chris Brennan

Captain Kirk, is now available as a regular rare card, instead of just an ultra-rare preview.  That opens up lots of possibilities of Fed attack decks.  What's the best way to get him into play quickly?
The simple way would be to stack him in your Q's Tent.  That has a few downsides, though.  Revolving Doors are popular against Tribbles Side Decks, so your Tent might get closed quickly.  Also, you give up a card draw getting him.  And there's no chance that you might simply draw him in your opening hand, saving the Tent for something more important.  And if you want to throw VCM in that Fed deck, you probably want to avoid those bad Doorway probes.
There's a way to get to Kirk without stacking multiple copies in your draw deck.  The Starship Enterprise can download an [OS] Fed personnel, that gets Kirk.  Also, if you have Ready Room Doors, you can get Kirk on the Enterprise that way and use the download for Mr Scott, who really helps when using the Starship Enterprise to start a fight.
OK, how can you get the Starship Enterprise quickly?  Wall of Ships is a good bet.  And there's a card that's worth having multiple copies of.  You can get other Enterprises to add to your fleet.
Admiral Riker will get you the Starship Enterprise, too.  And you can get him with a Going to the Top.
So there we have 5 cards:  GTTT, Admiral Riker, Wall of Ships, the SE and Kirk himself.  Getting any of those 5 in your opening hand gives you a Kirk 1st turn.  (and probably a ship, too.)  You can easily stack multiples of at least 2 of those cards without hurting your deck efficiency.
