KABOOM! - MA States
by Steve Clicquennoi
This deck is designed to make it so your opponent cannot score positive points. Most people play with a 4:2 planet:space or space:planet spaceline. This means that one Supernova will make them susceptible to Balancing Act.
Once the game starts, download the Cube and Awaken for Proficiency, Transwarp, and Survey Drones as soon as possible. Also download a Transwarp Network Gateway via the Borg Outpost and another with the Transwarp Drone. Play one more drone or the queen and you're ready to go unless they seeded a homeworld. All the counterparts are in the Tent so use the Proficiency to draw 2 cards a turn until you get a Tent. Then head for the Alpha Quadrant. Editor's Note - Proficiency Drone being more commonly known as Seven of Nine ;-) You should have drawn a Queen or Assimilate Planet at this point. The Queen can download A Change of Plans, which will then download an Assimilate Planet (or Assimilate Homeworld). Scout the planet with the Survey Drone so you can get the Tox. Edo Probe is Irrelevant, Tox is put aside, Dead End stops you but the mission is still clear. Probe next turn. Play the Tox Uthat once you get it. You should have a Tent or Supernova by this time. Play the Supernova next turn to unbalance them. If you had to assimilate their homeworld and they only have one facility left with all their ships and personnel at it, you can Supernova that instead (this works especially well with Bajorans). Editor's Note - one problem: you can't pick up the Tox until the turn after you probe (using the Survey Drone's skill is a game action) so if your opponent has any personnel at that location he can steal the artifact. Complete the other 3 Objectives and Supernova your opponent at your leisure (just make sure you don't re-balance them) then win. This deck is capable of getting 140 points incase Q's Planet shows up. You may have to Regenerate to get your probes back. Possible Problems: Obviously Armada Decks and Personnel Battle Decks will ruin your day. Drawing a Tent early can be tough. Your opponent can delay you with battle. They may kill your Survey Drone. They may play with a 3:3 spaceline in that case, try to assimilate one Facility and Supernova the other, they shouldn't have more than two. Colonies and Dabo may also cause problems. Possible Changes: If you are in an area that doesn't use a lot of counters, you can cut out some Q2's. You might want to think of adding a spare Survey Drone, an extra Regenerate, a fourth Tent, or The Wake of the Borg to the Tent. Steve 'Kor' Clicquennoi
