La Forge Maneuvers
Have you ever had a sudden insight or made a brilliant move that won you the game? These are the essence of La Forge Maneuvers…
I was playing my trusty fed mission solver, and I came up against a guy playing Cardassian. For some strange reason, he seeded Empok Nor. He infiltrated me with Boone Impersonator, but I quickly went over and commandeered it, as he couldn't draw a ship. I noticed that he really wanted that Nor back, so I "conveniently" left his Boone impersonator there, while still leaving the defiant docked ;) he quickly moved to ops, downloaded like 8 sites, and ended his turn. (I don't know if he could do this, as it was the second time Empok was being commandeered, but I didn't notice it at the time). On my turn, I moved my people back on, killed Boon, and commandeered back the Nor, now plump with sites. Man I wish I had a baseball...
Not really a La Forge Manuever, but.. It happened to be at the South Carolina State tournament. Koval and his friends from the Tal Shiar were working on an advanced class of D'Deridex. After installing a Kurlan Naiskos, they received word that the Barzan Wormhole was up for sale. The Ferengi aboard an old Klingon battle cruiser had moved in and encountered a shipful of Pakleds, experienced Theta Radiation Poisoning, and been communicated to by the Cytherians. They were about to return to close on the purchase when Koval decided to test his engine modifications. A shipful of Tal Shiar and regular military personnel flew the ship from almost across the spaceline to the Barzan Wormhole and purchased just before the Ferengi arrived.
