Welcome to the STS Battle Zone.  This is a Heavy Weight division match-up.  Captain's Log will be in play and every ship have its Matching Commander aboard.  There will be no enhancements and no crewmember will be able to provide any kind of enhancement.

7—Bajoran Warship, commanded by Rinnak Pire
8—Decius, commanded by Ambassador Tomalak

Let’s go to the Quarter Round match-ups and results.

Our first battle was the 1st seeded Tama against the 8th seeded Decius.  In a vicious first round exchange the Decius pulled a Maximum Firepower and hit big time.  However it was Tama that inflicted the deathblow with its Strafing Run that killed Ambassador Tomalak!  That nullified the Captain's Log bonus for the Decius, lowering its weapons and shields even further.  The Decius was destroyed in the second round when a Quantum Torpedo scored a direct hit reducing the warbird to debris.  Winner= Tama

The next battle was between the 3rd seeded Aldara going up against Weyoun’s Warship seeded 6th.  Well this battle certainly proved the fact that seed slots mean nothing, as Weyoun’s Warship completely annihilated the Aldara.  It toyed with the Galor class vessel for 3 rounds before using its Phased Polaron Beam to score a direct hit for the final blow.  The shields never failed for the Dominion’s warship, as the Aldara could not muster enough firepower to hit it.  Winner= Weyoun’s Warship

 Next round Semi-Finals battle is 1—Tama vs. 6—Weyoun’s Warship

The third battle was with the 2nd seeded USS Enterprise-D going up against the 7th seeded Bajoran Warship.  The Enterprise might have been the fan favorite but it’s headed back to the Spacedock for repair because it got beat like a redheaded stepchild!  Man this fight was brutal, Worf was killed, Riker was killed, and Deanna was killed.  The Enterprise got hit early and lost a lot of power to weapons and shields.  Then Rinnak Pire used the Picard Maneuver to avoid damage and hit the federation flagship again.  Then Captain Picard used his own Picard Maneuver to avoid damage, but the Enterprise was too badly damaged to score a hit and the Warship slowly pounded into it.  A Crimson Forcefield nullified a Bajoran Phaser Bank shot, but by then the Enterprise had already taken too much damage.  Winner= Bajoran Warship

The final quarter final battle was between the 4th seeded IKC Negh’Var and the 5th seeded Kreechta.  Another surprising upset as the Keechta takes out the heavily favored Negh’var.  The Kreechta did not back down and stood toe-to-toe with the Klingon cruiser.  Every round both ships scored hit after hit, but the Negh’var was losing shields very quickly.  After the third round the Negh’var tried a Maximum Firepower but that only managed to score a hit, which the Kreechta was able to withstand.  But the tactic proved fatal for the Klingons as the Defense minus left them wide open for a Direct hit from a Full Phaser Spread.  The Feregi ship was severely damaged but it did manage to survive.  Winner= Kreechta.

 Next round Semi-Finals battle is 7—Bajoran Warship vs. 5—Kreechta

The first semi-round battle features the 1st seeded Tama going up against the 6th seeded Weyoun’s Warship.  Weyoun had an easy time taking out the Cardassians, and the usually incomprehensible Dathon let his weapons do the talking for him as he wiped out the Decius.  This time Dathon started to target the Dominion's Shields but Weyoun’s Warship easily withstood the attack.  Tama was able to damage the massive warship but Weyoun kept the pressure on scoring hit after hit.  Finally Tama tried a desperation attack and focused all of its energy on one Maximum Firepower attempt.  That tactic worked but it left the Darmok vessel wide open and Weyoun didn’t miss the opportunity to score a direct hit, obliterating the Non-Aligned vessel.  Winner= Weyoun's Warship

The last semi-round match-up features the 7th seeded Bajoran Warship against the 5th seeded Kreechta.  Bractor proved himself a crafty tactician, on the battlefield, as he kept up the pace against the mighty Klingon battle cruiser Negh’var.  And who else but Rinnak Pire would be at the helm of the “black sheep” Bajoran Warship.  Rinnak showed a universe of skills as he defeated the very popular USS Enterprise-D.  I guess the Bajorans aren’t that interested in joining the Federation after all.  But how will this universal champion fair up against the crafty Bractor?

This was a fairly even match-up across the board.  Both ships have the same stats and both commanders are skilled veterans of combat. However the fight went sour for the Ferengi in the latter stages of battle, as the Kreechta lost an incredible 135% hull integrity from a direct hit.  After that Rinnak just took his time to finish the Ferengi.  Winner= Bajoran Warship.

 Championship Finals between 6—Weyoun’s Warship vs. 7—Bajoran Warship

It’s an all warship final in this Elite Heavy Weight contest.  Weyoun is sending a message to the Alpha Quadrant to look out for the Dominion, while those feisty Bajorans fought out of one occupation and they are making sure that if they are ever involved in another one, it will be the Bajorans who are doing the occupying!  Cast your vote now, who will win this clash of warships, Weyoun’s Warship or the Bajoran Warship?

Championship Results

Weyoun opened it up early, firing a Quantum Torpedo at the Bajoran Warship.  The torpedo hit and did some nasty weapons damage.  That damage hurt, but the persistent Bajorans were able to fire back and hit.  The Bajorans held their own early as they proved that while they can’t build a decent spacecraft in this reality, they sure can build a nice warship in an alternate reality.  As the fight progressed Rinnak didn’t have enough weapons to penetrate the tough Dominion shields.  Weyoun wasn’t wasting any more time as his next assault resulted in a direct hit, scoring enough damage to crush the hull of the Bajoran Warship.  The Dominion may have lost at Deep Space 9, but tonight they shined as Weyoun’s Warship emerged victorious and captured the Golden Phaser array Power Cell.
