The Ninja and the Doctor Review: Teero Anaydis by The Ninja Scott and Dr. Telek R'Mor As you may have heard, The Ninja Scot and Dr. Telek R'Mor have decided to do a one-page review of every card in Holodeck Adventures. That's right, all 131 cards! Better set aside lots of reading time for this… (DTRM is doing evens and TNS is doing odds) The opinions, of course, are those of the authors :-)
![]() I’ve learned that if you give a personnel five, six, or even seven skills, they’re bound to have something good. For instance, when I first saw Tuvok and Karr posted on the web site, I both figured them for junk. I soon found that Tuvok was a great source of Delta Quadrant SECURITY (which they lacked) and Law (which wasn’t bad for the Federation). Karr’s features was the Diplomacy (one of only two Alphas, thus free reports, who have it for the Hirogen) and Astrophysics with CUNNING of eight (only really good Hirogen source of it). I now run three Karrs in almost every single Hirogen deck I play. For Teero, there’s nothing too special here in the way of deck archetype or special skills (a seeming rarity amongst Holodeck Adventures personnel), he’s just a solid personnel with good skills. Again, I don’t like doing this for a review, since it seems like a cop out, but here’s a run down of his skills: VIP: Meh. Treachery: It’s actually not horrid for the Bajorans. Outside of Jaro Essa (whose only good features is he’s a minister for Executive Authorization and Treachery x2 for Q Gets The Point) and Bariel (near must have for Bajorans), they don’t regularly have Treachery (I don’t like either Winn persona too much myself). Around here, Q Gets The Point-The Weak Will Perish-In The Pale Moonlight is common, and Teero will help out nicely. Exobiology: Not too useful for dilemmas, but there’s a major lack of it amongst the Bajorans. Outside of Mora Pol (who’s a great support personnel, with his SCIENCE x2), they truly lack any good sources of it. Not a necessary skill, but Macrovirus can be annoying. MEDICAL: Can never get too much of it, really. While Vedek Sorad has the much sought after Diplomacy, having another source of it (especially on someone who’s a bit smarter in the CUNNING department for Spatial Rift and won’t become Haconian Land Eel bait too often) isn’t a bad thing. Anthropology: The Bajorans have a lot of it and it isn’t too useful for dilemmas. Filler. Computer Skill: Actually something the Bajorans need. Despite being a common skill, you don’t see it too often on the religious/Resistance minded Badgers. He’s especially nice versus Dejaren (if it’s got an Access Denied souping it up) because his CUNNING of nine will keep him alive. A decent source of it, though don’t forget that Bariel already has it twice over. Other stuff: INTEGRTIY of three is nice for In The Pale Moonlight and while CUNNING of nine will make him an odd man out for Chandra, it’s nice for Spatial Rift with the average CUNNING seven Bajorans. STRENGTH is a bit above average for them. His Vedek status lets him report for free, of course, and he can also run services at the Shrine, if needed (though there should be plenty of other personnel in a Bajoran deck who can do that). His command icon isn’t needed for any Bajoran ship and his Maquis icon lets him report aboard the Liberty (ooooh… aaah…) and pass Arms Dealer (see previous comment). In conclusion, he’s cool. He’ll see us mainly for his good INTEGRITY/CUNNING for the Bajorans and a free report MEDICAL has never killed anyone. A good support personnel, though, thankfully not in the literal game play definition of the word. Combo(s):
