Palor Toff a Palor Toff!
by Etsap Palor Toff retrieves Palor Toff from the discard Pile! Think this maneuver belongs right up there with playing a Barber Pole? This is something I sort of stumbled into after posting on Decipher's Deck Design board. It came out with a very interesting combo that just has to go into one of my decks (even though I WON'T use the one designed, you can email me for the list). Even if it doesn't work, the draw deck and seed slots used can easily be diverted to other uses, and no space is wasted. Here goes: Have you ever wondered, with 2 copies of Palor Toff - Alien Trader in your hand, why you never get them when there is actually something good in your discard pile? Well, here is a new use for this card, one that doesn't require you to have ANYTHING useful in your discard pile. You just have to have at least one card there! (OK, if your opponent is using Fire Sculptor or Countermanda, maybe more than 1). The combo is this: The Naked Truth + Kivas Fajo + Scorched Hand + 2 Palor Toffs. Yes, I did say The Naked Truth. With this seldom used card, you can report Kivas Fajo to your opponent's crew or away team! Now, why on earth would you want to give your opponent a valuable card like that? Scorched Hand. Do you have that opponent who always seems to have exactly 12 cards in hand regardless of how many he draws? Now you can play your Scorched Hand, anyway. Simply play Palor Toff, forcing your opponent to get a card from his discard pile with Kivas Fajo's special skill. If that doesn't bring him up to 13, Palor Toff for your Palor Toff in the discard pile, and repeat until he is up to 13. You won't be gaining any cards, but your opponent might end up with his entire discard pile in his hand! This is especially helpful if all he has there are dilemmas. Perfect for a scorching. (And you thought referee cards were supposed to be fair). In addition, while you opponent is weeding all of those useful cards out of his discard pile, you may want to throw in The Gift of the Tormentor/Are These Truly you Friends, Brother? With better odds, this might work, too! If your opponent figures it out, he could always get that big Gift into his own hand via Kivas, but then after you scorch it he certainly won't benefit from having six copies in his hand and nothing useful to play. So, right after you play that fear-inspiring Barber
Pole, Palor Toff for a Palor Toff!
