No silly Roman Numerals for this writer. OK, so I am sitting in a bar in the good old US of A, smoking a cigarette with a shot of Jack in one hand and my cards in the other. I hand my song request to the bartender and 2 minutes later Magic Carpet Ride by Steppinwolf starts to play. What a way to begin the first over 21 play Star Trek til you are ****-faced Tournament in American History. Last one still able to stand is the winner. Points don't count. It's all in how you hold your liquor.

Well after 4 years as a TD I am finally going to be running my first sanctioned tournament ever on March 9th. It should be interesting. When Bojo called me to ask why it took me so long, I told him, "I spent the last 4 years learning the rules! " So with the help of a local ambassador, it should be a sight to see.

Now as to why I am writing this column. I am sick and tired of hearing the "Bloody Brits" and his snide remarks on America and its players. Over 200 hundred years ago We the People of the United States of America told the King of England where he could go and blew them Red Coats away. To this day they still attempt to invade our country but now they do it more subtly. This was most frequent invasion of this type was in the 60's and 70's with groups like the Beatles. We have begun to see this invasion and are beginning to get rid of this counter culture movement (2 Beatles Down and 2 to go. Beware Paul and Ringo!) They gave us Who's Line Is It Anyway and The Weakest Link but we got rid of their stuffy Brits who ran them and replaced them with the Greatness of Drew Carey. (Anne Robinson you are the Weakest Link. Goodbye!)

Ian, If you're ever in the states I'll take you to a bar and show you what a can of Stone Cold Whoop Ass looks like right after I drink you under the table.
